RENEY RAY

Born and raised in Kapuskasing Ontario, and proud of her roots, this Franco-Canadian artist is making waves with her French and English songwriting talent.

Ray produced and released her debut album "To What We All Become" in 2014 under her band name Bloodstone and Ray. An English work with 14 tracks that made its way from Canada all the way to Nashville’s ISC (International Songwriting Competition), which got her a spot in the semi finals.

In 2018, she went on to co-produce and release a French eponymous album titled "Reney Ray", where the song “Le monde est con” went to #1 across Canada in numerous radios and satellites, making the song a success. She started getting nominated for her work in different gala’s across Canada, and continued with a second French album called “À l’Ouest du Réel” in 2021, which she co-produced as well.

Nominated for Francophone Artist of the Year for 5 year running at the CMAO (Country Music Association of Ontario), she brought home the award in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Also nominated twice for French Songwriter of the Year at the CFMA (Canadian Folk Music Awards), Reney took home the title in 2022. And again, nominated in many categories at the Gala Trille Or, such as Producer of the Year, Country artist of the Year, Export Artist of the year, and Public’s choice award, Reney won the Public’s choice awards in 2023.

From big stages, to white pages, Reney has been touring and writing for well-known artists in the music industry such as “Les 2 frères, Martin Deschamps, Breen LeBoeuf, Ricky Paquette (Sheepdogs), Angel Forrest etc..

In April 2024, Reney produced and released a third French album called “L’Album Temporaire” which is nominated this year in 3 different Gala’s across Canada.

Reney is presently working on English titles scheduled to be released sometime this year, as well as expanding her producing skills to other emerging artists across Quebec and Ontario.
